Our Mission
Our goal is to demonstrate that a private, for-profit, ecologically sustainable, ethically managed, urban farm can be a viable business while also enhancing the enjoyment of the neighborhood, contributing to the economic resiliency of our community, and making locally grown food more readily available. We hope to serve as an educational resource for those who wish to learn to live a fuller, more self-sufficient life in touch with nature.
We sell seasonally available foods, handicrafts, and other farm and wild-crafted goods produced on-site. In the future, we’ll also be offering farm tours and classes in various topics related to sustainable living. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated.
We are not certified organic, but use only organic-approved substances in our gardens.
We’re presently working to build our flock of muscovies, ducks, and chickens, with an eye toward offering a steady supply of meat and eggs. We do occasionally have meat birds or live birds for sale, check our Shop to see what’s available.
In 2015, we launched a crowdfunding campaign to help us acquire a vacant lot next door. Here is the video from that successful effort:
We’re located in an unincorporated portion of Franklin County in Mifflin Township in Northeast Columbus, well inside the 270 loop, right behind East Linden Elementary School. Where’s that? Look at the Google map on our “Contact Us” page and zoom out.
We’re about…
– 4.5 miles east of the Clintonville Farmer’s Market
– 4 miles east of the old Clintonville Community Market and Lucky’s Market
– 3.5 miles southwest of the Easton Farmers Market
– 4.5 miles north of Bexley Natural Market
– 6.5 miles north of the Bexley Farmers Market
– 6.5 miles northeast of the Pearl Alley Farmers Market downtown
– 6 miles northeast of North Market
– 8 miles south of Raisin Rack Natural Food Market and the Uptown Westerville Farmers Market
– 8-9 miles southeast of the Worthington Farmers Market
And unlike all those places, at Woodland Urban Farm, LLC, you not only get to meet the farmer, you also get to see the food being grown, possibly even harvested on demand.
We currently are by appointment only. Contact us at: (614)787-4855 or wayne@woodlandurbanfarm.com
